LVV Certification
LVV certification for 4WD modifications, organised in house
Some vehicle modifications in New Zealand need Low Volume Vehicle (LVV) certification under the LVVTA standards before the vehicle can be legally driven and properly insured. TTA can take care of this in house for the modifications we fit, so you do not need to organise it separately.
Common setups that need LVV certification
- Suspension lifts over 50mm.
- All body lifts need certification, whatever the height.
- Tyres over 5% larger in diameter than standard.
- Adjustable suspension lifts.
- Upper Control Arms & Diff Drops.
- Certain track width increases.
If you are planning a build, tell us everything you want done (for example a lift, body lift, bull bar and larger wheels and tyres) so we can plan the certification for the whole package.

If your vehicle already has modifications, get in touch and we can talk through what is needed and book you in for a pre-cert inspection.
