Cody Armstrong's N80 Wide Track on 35s!

Introducing the CODUX Hilux

Cody came to TTA with a vision of building the toughest wide track in NZ. We had already worked on this vehicle previously, installing NZ's first Rockarmor GT Bull Bar suitable for the wide track. Being a Timaru local, Cody decided to take a trip up to Christchurch to plan out what parts we will choose and what he plans to use the ute for. After a few back and forth conversation we were tasked with making these huge 35" trepadors fit and build something capable of tailing the big solid axle Landcruisers down the tracks.

Modifications

Suspension: 3" Dobinsons MRA Shocks paired with Dobinsons Springs, Profender Upper Control Arms & Phatbars Diff Drop

Wheels: 17x9 ROH Raid Alloys

Tyres: 35x12.5R17 Maxxis Trepadors

Protection: Rockarmor GT Bull Bar Combo, Rockarmor Rock Sliders & AC Fab Underbody Protection

Extras: Body Mount Chop, Front & Rear Sway Bars Removed, 2" Body Lift, Speedo Corrector & ADAS Calibration

End Result

You will likely find Cody's ute tackling local tracks or floating down the river in mid Canterbury during his spare time. All in all I think this truck is a great contender for the toughest Wide Track in NZ (or toughest N80 for that matter). A great combination of practicality and reliability built for exploring all of New Zealand. Having tagged along with Cody on a couple of trips I can assure you this rig is not the pavement princess it looks like. The paint condition is a credit to Cody and bushwrapz for keeping it looking like its fresh off the showroom floor.
